Set up your shop and start selling in minutes

Setting Up Your Shop

Welcome to AIMduka! Follow these steps to get your shop up and running:

Complete your Profile

Go to Settings > Shop Profile. Enter your business name, category, and contact details. This information will appear on your receipts.

Configure Settings

In Settings, you can also enable features like the Loyalty Program and set up your notification preferences.

Add Your First Product

Navigate to Inventory > Add Product to start building your catalog.

Pro Tip
Install the AIMduka app on your phone for easier access. Look for the "Install App" button in the menu.

Go to Inventory > Stock Take to start a new audit. You can pause and resume audits as needed.

Mobile Money & Loans

Complete suite for money transfer businesses

For money transfer businesses, AIMduka provides a full suite of tools to manage transactions, accounts, and customer credit.

The Mobile Money Dashboard is your main hub. It gives you a quick overview of your float, cash, and profits.

  • Start Shift: Before recording transactions, start a shift. Enter your opening cash and float balances.
  • Close Shift: At the end of the day, close your shift. Enter your closing balances to calculate any overages or shortages.

Accurately track where your money is.

  • Add Accounts: Create accounts for "MTN Float", "Airtel Float", "Cash Drawer", or "Bank".
  • Track Balances: The system automatically updates account balances when you record deposits or withdrawals.

From the dashboard, click New Transaction. Select the appropriate type:

  • Deposit (Cash-in): Customer gives you cash → You send float.
  • Withdrawal (Cash-out): Customer sends you float → You give cash.
  • Currency Exchange: Buy or sell foreign currency.
  • International Transfer: Record cross-border transfers with exchange rates.

1. Creating a Loan: Go to Mobile Money > New Loan. Set due date and penalty terms.

2. Managing Credit: The Credit Management page shows all outstanding loans.

3. Recording Repayments: On the Loan Detail page, use the "Record Repayment" form.

4. Automatic Penalties: The system automatically calculates overdue penalties.

Services & Job Cards

For repair shops and service-based businesses

Add services just like products under Services > Add Service. Services don't have stock quantities but can track material usage if configured.
  • Create a Job Card when receiving a device
  • Update status (Diagnosing, Waiting for Parts, Ready)
  • Add spare parts used (deducts from inventory)
  • Notify customer when ready
Use Services > Quick Service for fast, one-off service sales that don't require a full job card tracking process.

Team Management

If you have the Pro or Enterprise plan, you can add staff members.

  • Go to People > Team
  • Click "Add Staff"
  • Assign permissions (e.g., can they see reports? can they edit inventory?)
  • Staff members get their own login credentials
